Loyalty To SLPP Must Be Demonstrated – Hon. Manso Dumbuya

The incumbent Western Regional Chairman of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Hon. Manso Dumbuya has recently reiterated his commitment to the party and its vision for a better Sierra Leone under the leadership of His Excellency the President, Julius Maada Bio.
He made these remarks recently, as the election for the Western Region Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) approaches on April 15, 2025.
In a recent interview with an online social media platform, Hon Manso Dumbuya took the opportunity to address not only Chief Hindolo Moseray, who is also vying for the same position, but also the party’s loyal supporters.
The message of Hon. Dumbuya was clear: “loyalty to the party must be demonstrated through actionable commitment.”
During the interview, Dumbuya specifically advised Moseray to settle his outstanding dues to the party approximately forty eight (48) months of unpaid contributions over the last four years. He described this as “gross wickedness,” pointing out that one cannot claim to love the SLPP while failing to support its financial health.
Hon Manso Dumbuya’s insistence on this point underscores the principle of accountability and responsibility that he believes is essential for any serious contender for leadership within the SLPP.
The veteran politician also used the interview to highlight the importance of consistent financial contributions to the party, emphasizing that every member must “put their mouth where their money goes.” In his view, true dedication to the SLPP involves supporting its activities and initiatives, rather than merely seeking personal gain from the party’s success.
Hon Manso Dumbuya, who is regarded as a living legend among SLPP’s active members, has been instrumental in strategizing the party’s successes in the Western Region. He urged all SLPP members, including Moseray and all party loyalists to honor their financial obligations as a demonstration of their commitment and dedication to the party’s mission. “You cannot reap where you have not sown,” he stated, reinforcing the idea that true respect and loyalty are shown through consistent support.
Hon Manso Dumbuya’s campaign is not just about maintaining his position; it is also a call for unity and strategic vision within the party. “We must remember that our strength lies in our collective effort and shared goal,” Hon. Dumbuya stated during a recent rally. He emphasized the importance of a cohesive approach to the upcoming elections, arguing that continuity in leadership would ensure that the party can build on its past successes rather than starting from scratch.
As the election draws near, Dumbuya called on supporters to rally behind him for continuity and stability in the party’s leadership. He urged Chief Moseray to consider stepping aside as a sign of respect for the long-standing contributions of party heroes like him.
