The whereabouts of the former APC Presidential candidate Dr Samura Kamara is presently not known by state authorities, following an invitation extended to him by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Sierra Leone Police force.
The CID summoned Dr. Kamara to answer questions regarding a series of audio and video recordings allegedly featuring him making controversial statements about electoral justice.
In one of the videos, he is referred to as the “President-elect of Sierra Leone,” reportedly waiting to assume power. The CID claims Dr. Kamara appeared to endorse this title in several of the recordings, prompting the request for clarification.
Since the invitation was issued, sources close to Dr. Kamara have expressed concern over his whereabouts, noting he has not been seen in public and is believed to have left town. One political ally described the situation as increasingly tense, citing reports of police barricading his residence.
According to some unconfirmed reports, so many questions are now being asked in some quarters about the missing individual Dr Samura Kamara after he failed to report to the CID and his whereabouts is unknown.
According to reports, some people are saying that the former APC leader has left the shores of Sierra Leone and is out of the country, while there are some other reports that are saying he is still inside of Sierra Leone attending to family matters.
There are also reports that Dr. Samura Kamara is not in his two residences in Freetown after they were previously raided by officers of the SLP.
However, it is now left with the CID to decide their next moves as Dr Kamara is now nowhere to be seen.

They also wanted to know where Dr Samura Kamara was when he issued out his Independence Day message and other important message on his X social media platform.
So what next for CID after the APC former leader has twice been invited and twice refuse to attend citing excuses.
The public is now waiting to see what will happen to the opposition politician.
Notably, Dr. Kamara has yet to issue a public statement addressing the matter or to respond directly to the CID’s concerns. However, his legal team has reportedly written to the CID, requesting an extension of the deadline and seeking clarification on the allegations.
