The Sierra Leone Maritime Administration (SLMA), in partnership with the National Youth Commission (NAYCOM) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), is set to roll out a strategic training program targeting 500 young seafarers. This initiative will focus on the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), aiming to equip participants with internationally recognized maritime skills and certifications.
The collaboration underscores a strong commitment to youth empowerment, capacity building, and enhancing Sierra Leone’s presence in the global maritime industry.
