Soon-to-be flag bearer of the All People’s Congress (APC) party, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, in a townhall meeting is set to engage Sierra Leoneans in the United Kingdom under the auspices of Friends of Dr. Bangura (DIB UK) branch.
The engagement, tagged as “Meet and Greet with Dr. Ibrahim Bangura is set to take place on June 21st 2025, at the St Lukes Church, Peckham l. Southwark, London.
According to the organisers, thousands of Sierra Leoneans in the UK are anxiously waiting for the man of the moment, adding that this is the first-ever public political event in London.
They further highlighted planned activities for the event, ranging from speech by the man himself, question and answer session, interactive session, networking to refreshment, and entertainment session.
“Come and clear your doubts and meet the leader himself. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, network, and support a young visionary leader,” one of the organisers said.
Known widely to his peers as I.B.Bangura is an accomplished and widely published academic in the fields of youth, governance, human rights, gender and security. An Associate Professor in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. He is also a 2024 Afox Fellow of the University of Oxford.
