“I Have A Dream”

-Says Dr. Ibrahim Bangura

One of the leading aspirants for the 2028 presidential flagbearer of the opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) party, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura recently assured that if elected as president of the country come 2028, he will ensure improvement in the administration of the APC party in general and growth and development of the country in particular. “I have a Dream For Sierra Leone,” said Dr Ibrahim Bangura.
Speaking recently in Bonthe district, many APC supporters, well-wishers and sympathizers described his message as one meant to bridge the gap/division in the party and country. He stated that the country has a big challenge to address through unity which will lead to building a better Sierra Leone worthy of smart innovations and developments.
According to Dr. Bangura, if elected as president come 2028, he will ensure that the country becomes a better place for all the citizens first of all by changing their negative mindset to one that will bring about sustainable development for the betterment of everyone, devoid of political belonging.
“With me at the helm of the country’s affairs, everyone will have confidence in him or herself that he/she is a true citizen and will be ready and willing to contribute meaningfully to its development for the benefit of all and sundry,” Dr. Bangura proudly stated.
He added: “I have envisioned a place where all citizens and other people will realize their dreams through innovative ideas as most of them currently lack the requisite supports and opportunities to excel at higher level, given that he had the same opportunity when his parents could not afford a wealthy lifestyle for him.
Dr. Ibrahim Bangura stands as a pillar of peace as preached in his campaign message of bridging the gap and unity.
The vibrant and patriotic politician is described as a trustworthy teacher and leader whose vision illuminates the path forward and guides the youth toward achieving their full potentials.
“His leadership is not merely about ideas, it’s about transforming the future with conviction and relentless dedication,” one of his admirers praised him.
Dr. Ibrahim recently emphasized that while he respects the legacies of past leaders, his campaign is also driven by a new vision aimed at addressing the current needs of Sierra Leoneans. He insists his governance will reflect fairness, honesty, transparency, and responsibility, describing himself a leader capable of restoring the public’s confidence in politics which he said had waned under the past leaders due to poor performance.
Speaking further on his plans and vision for the country, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura noted that nothing is impossible for Sierra Leone to be a better place like other European nations or the United States of America. He emphasized that all we need to do is to come together to build our own country.
The APC 2028 flagbearer aspirant admitted that there is no way the party can succeed if the division is not amended. “A divided house cannot stand,” he admitted, noting that unless APC comes together as a united party before it members could think of going back to State House.
He promised his people to be a listening leader working for everybody while strongly dismissing the use of insults and abusive languages from his followers. He emphasized on the need to address the challenges of youth ranging from unemployment, drug addiction, hunger, lack of basic education among others. The enthusiastic politician has also pledged to carry the political cost of leadership through the sacrifices he has to make to genuinely take care of the wellbeing of his people.
He therefore called on the people ‘not to weep’ because the dawn of a new era has come to heal, unite and build with an apt sense of responsibility. “I have the desire to live by you, sharing your pains and work with you for a lasting better change,” he assured, continuing that the change he meant is not transactional but transformational.
On Infrastructural development which is another pillar of Dr. Bangura’s agenda, the teacher-leader aspirant noted that robust infrastructure is foundational to socio-economic progress, that he will advocate for investments that will enhance connectivity, improve public services and create an enabling environment for businesses.
Through strategic planning and execution, he said he envisions a modernized Sierra Leone that will not only meet the needs of its citizens but will also attract foreign investments essential for economic growth.
Dr. Bangura said: “If we are serious about unity, we must lead respectfully. Every APC supporter is my brother and sister. We must not tear down what we intend to build. True leadership is not about exclusion, it is about harnessing all strengths.”
He promised that even his rivals of today will find a seat at the table tomorrow should he emerge the APC flagbearer after the 2026 National Delegates’ Conference.
He recommitted his commitment to competent and decisive leadership that will protect the votes of the APC and change the face of Sierra Leone, while being positive that the APC would form the next government after the 2028 general elections.
With compassion and empathy, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura became emotionally connected to the wellbeing of his people when he encouraged them to expect a ray of hope that he has come with through a roadmap of discipline and unity that pinpoints the rule of law to iron out differences and not otherwise. “Let us not use hate but love to overcome conflicts with peace, and where there is pain, healing,” he said, adding that the enemy would seek to divide the APC party by sowing seeds of discord; therefore, there is a need to shun disinformation and slander, holding on to a united APC to save the neck-deep drowning economy of Sierra Leone.
