Hon Justice Binneh Laid To Rest On Sunday

Deceased Appeal Court Judge, Hon Justice Abu Bakarr Muhamed Binneh Kamara will be laid to rest on Sunday 20th July 2025 after Islamic prayers in Freetown.
The late Appeal Court Judge died on Tuesday 15th July 2025 following a long illness.
Justice Abu Bakarr Binneh Kamara was a prominent figure in the country legal system, serving as a justice of the Appeal Court.
Earlier in May 2025, the legislative parliament approves his elevation to the Court of Appeal praising him for his unblemished records.
His judicial career began in 2017, when he was nominated by then President Ernest Bai Koroma and confirmed as a High Court Judge by parliament.
Over the years he adjudicated numerous high profile cases notably in Land, Property and environmental laws.
Beyond the court room, Justice Binneh Kamara made significant contributions to the legal education. In November 2023 he was appointed the first Dean of Faculty of Law at FBC, after serving as head of department.

The JANAZAH prayers and burial of the late Honourable Justice Dr. AbouBhakarrMuhammad Binneh-Khamara J.A. will take place at 2PM on Sunday, 20th of July, 2025 at 2PM.
Insha Allah the prayers will happen at the Hezbullah Mosque at Water Street, Congo Town, and the burial is immediately thereafter, at the Congo Town Cemetery.
