-Let Us Put Our Emotions Aside

President Julius Maada Bio during the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Women’s Council election victory engagement at State Lodge, warned party members and supports ahead of the 2028 general elections. “Let us put our emotions aside when electing our flagbearer candidate for 2028 general elections.”
According to President Bio, what happened at the ECOWAS was just a broad assignment of his commitment, when he earlier said he would place Sierra Leone on the World stage, he has, in deed done just that.
He further boasted: “Here at State Lodge, we have the Chairman of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and the President of all First Ladies in Africa “.
“We are setting the bar high by making sure that Sierra Leone is placed significantly on the world map.
“Put aside emotions”, he reiterated, underscoring that he is also going to vote during National Delegates’ (NDC) election as he is also a delegate.
President Bio further assured party members and supporters that he will ensure that their next presidential flagbearer becomes the next president of the Republic of Sierra Leone under the ticket of the Sierra Leone People’s Party SLPP.
However, many of his critics opine that both his predecessors have made similar optimistic statements to their would-be successor, only to end up reneging.
