The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) hereby informs the public that it will undertake inspections and corrective maintenance activities on the 33kV line connecting the Kingtom substation and the Wilberforce substation. over a 13-day period, from Saturday, September 6th to Wednesday, September 17th, 2025.
During this time, several areas will experience intermittent power supply and a reduction in the duration of power supply. These activities are crucial for ensuring the long-term reliability and stability of the electricity supply in areas served by this line. The outcome of the inspections may indicate any further work that may be required to be performed under a future planned maintenance programme.
Areas affected include Spur Road, Wilberforce, Imatt, Regent, Bathurst, Lumley, Atlantic Beach, Regent Road, Sheriff Drive, Malama, Pentagon, Juba, Goderich, Adonkia, Mambo and Sussex.
Customers in these areas are encouraged to plan their activities accordingly and take necessary precautionary measures during this period.
EDSA will do its utmost to reduce outages to the minimum extent possible and assures its customers of its commitment to enhance and strengthen the reliability of the electricity supply to its customers in these and other areas. We regret any inconvenience these power outages may cause.
