The UNDP is proud to host the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting for the regional rice value chain project (EWASME).
This crucial meeting brings together key stakeholders, including the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Henry Musa Kpaka, and Paramount Chiefs from Kambia, Tonkolili, and Torma Bum.
Today’s agenda:
- Reviewing Progress: Assessing the project’s achievements and challenges
- Lessons Learned: Identifying best practices and areas for improvement
- Approving the 2025 Work plan: Setting the stage for a successful year ahead!
The EWASME project is in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and funded by the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) of the World Bank.
This initiative, spanning across Senegal, Guinea, Niger, and Sierra Leone, aims to empower over 1000 women-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and micro-enterprises in the rice value chain.
