Many described the heavy down pour, which was pouring persistently at a time the leader with the much needed charisma, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura (DIB) was addressing thousands of party supporters during a well attended meeting recently held in Lunsar Town as a demonstration of God willing and progressive leadership qualities DIB has been portraying so far under the most favourable, acceptable and salient three words political slogans, HEAL, UNITE and BUILD.
With his people, through the storm, no umbrella, no retreat, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura resolves rises up above the rain.
“This rains touching our bodies are not only showers of blessing, but also signifies that victory is here for the All Peoples Congress (APC)”, he thrilled supporters and proclaimed that DIB is a movement that comes not to fail but to succeed.
“We are going to succeed in the name of Allah/God’, he stated and encouraged APC supporters in Bo, Pujehun, Kono, Bombali, Kenema and nationwide to continue remaining calm, peaceful and respectful, because we only have one country, Sierra Leone.
“We will overcome any obstacle that comes our way”, he declared and appealed to followers to not abuse any opponent in the contest until it over, because he said, after the flagbearer exercise or convention, we have to come together as a party and prioritizes unity.
DIB made it very clearly that as a man with humble begining, our fellow competitors are not our enemies and above all, we are fighting for a common goal, which is to democratically contest, win election and march to State House come 2028.
As he mounted the stage, DIB stood firmly, waved off the umbrella and his voice rising above the storm.
The rain was a symbolic of renewal and cleansing, seem to amount DIB as a leader ready to weather storms with his people rather than towers above them.
Inclusively, the Iron Ladies in Lunsar crossed in to the rain mounting to stand shoulders to shoulders with their leader.
Acknowledging his nationwide support which DIB described as a sign the united and prosperous country, Sierra Leone would be under his leadership.
What a baptism of resolves a leader and his vanguard tested by the element united by conviction.
According to the Iron Ladies in Lunsar, they are supporting DIB due to his educative three words political slogans heal, unite and build. The Iron Ladies unanimously agreed that a united APC can remove the Paopa government and rebuild the country.
Dr. Bangura continued that it’s only the APC with the sympathetic heart to uplift or transform the poor and deprived people of this great West Africa nation and reaffirmed that the APC has produced lot of good people and prosperous people, including himself.
He recalled the great political role played by the late SI Koroma, a leader DIB labelled as a political godfather for the APC and country at large during his days on earth. “SI Koroma relentless services to the APC cannot be overemphasized as a man among men that was always passionate for the continuous elevation of the grassroots party.
A female APC supporters described DIB as a nice man with integrity and respect, he has the height and body which makes him to be the fittest and finest contender among the APC flagbearer aspirants…
