He has worked in countries such as South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. As a facilitator for respected institutions like the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Ghana, and as a Results-Oriented Monitoring Consultant for EU-funded projects in over 30 African countries since 2010, he has demonstrated his dedication to improving lives.
Dr. Bangura’s academic achievements are remarkable. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History, a Master’s degree in Gender Studies from the University of Sierra Leone, a Master’s degree in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam, and a Doctorate in Economics from the Leipzig Graduate School of Management in Germany.
Through his published works, Dr. Bangura has rebranded Sierra Leone on the global stage. His writings on youth-led social movements, the reintegration of child soldiers through sports, and fighting corruption in Africa reflect his commitment to finding solutions for the challenges we face as a nation.
Despite all his achievements, Dr. Bangura remains humble and deeply connected to the struggles of ordinary Sierra Leoneans. Coming from a modest background, he understands the pain of going to bed hungry and the frustrations caused by institutional failures. He has the knowledge and capacity to provide sustainable solutions to these problems.
He has quietly supported vulnerable communities, paying school fees for children, donating to orphanages, and funding community development projects. Recently, he donated Le 200 million and 50 bags of cement to the APC Southern Region Headquarters, further proving his dedication to the party and its people.
