Determined to curb the spread of M.Pox, an illness that has highly affected and infected young people, Minister of Youth Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Sannoh, visited the Executive Director of the National Public Health Agency, Prof. Foday Sahr, to discuss youth-led interventions in the national response.

The Minister was accompanied by the Director of Policy research planning and management Mr Marlon Esq, President of the National Youth Council and the President of the Sierra Leone Bike Riders Union, signalling a united front from key youth constituencies.

Discussions centred on mobilizing young people as frontline health champions through community outreach, peer education, and awareness campaigns. With youth being the most impacted demographic, the collaboration aims to empower them to take an active role in curbing the disease.

Together, they are charting a path where youth energy meets public health action.
