As the political contest garners steam in the run up to the Sierra Leone People`s Party (SLPP) Regional Executive elections, the Chairman of the East Urban District John Gbondo Margai has endorsed Honourable Manso Dumbuya for the position of Western Region Chairman.
The endorsement came as a result of rumors swirling around that Chairman John Gbondo Margai has nurtured the intention of contesting against Honourable Manso Dumbuya for the position of Western Regional Chairman.
In his endorsement remarks, Chairman John Gbondo Margai said Honourable Manso Dumbuya is his political Godfather who brought him to politics and ensured that he is elevated in the political arena as Chairman of the East Urban District in the SLPP.
Chairman Margai indicated that the he will never betray Honourable Manso Dumbuya because he has mentored him and safeguarded his re-election as Chairman of the East-Urban District.
“Since I entered into politics, Honourable Manso Dumbuya has been by my side and I am ready to repay him because I will be by his side until he is re-elected as Western Region Chairman,” Chairman John Gbondo Margai reciprocates his support.
Honourable Manso Dumbuya indicated that if anyone will betray him by challenging his position, it will NOT be Chairman John Gbondo Margai.
“With the endorsement of Chairman John Gbondo Margai, I know that I am safe until I decide to retire from active politics,” Honourable Manso Dumbuya stated.
According to Honourable Manso Dumbuya it is natural for people to repay good with good, for that reason, he said he is NOT surprised that Chairman John Gbondo Margai has wholeheartedly endorsed his re-election as Western Region Chairman.
Honourable Manso Dumbuya affirms that he is NOT allergic to political competition because it is the right of any SLPP member to contest against him.
But due to the crucial role he played in getting district and constituency executives re-elected, Honourable Manso Dumbuya is of the conviction that none of them will stand against him for the position of Western Regional Chairman.
