SLFA President Grants Bail

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has granted bail to Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Thomas Daddy Brima and two executive members following their arrest over alleged corruption.

During a press conference held today at the ACC Integrity House in Freetown, Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala confirmed that Brima and his colleagues were detained on Thursday, April 3, on allegations of embezzling over $720,000—funds received from FIFA and CAF for football development in Sierra Leone.

Kaifala stated that while the investigation is ongoing, the ACC decided to grant bail to the accused officials to allow them to participate in the SLFA Ordinary Congress scheduled for tomorrow, April 5, in Freetown.

The ACC assured the public that it remains committed to ensuring accountability and transparency in the management of sports funds in the country.
