SLFA President Responds To ACC

President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima, who was last week invited and interrogated by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and subsequently detained at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for alleged involvement in corruption at the SLFA, has confidently expressed innocence.
In a statement shortly after his release, Brima maintained that he was innocent and therefore urged the ACC to fully continue its investigation in a transparent and professional manner.
“Today, on my release from CID on alleged graft by the ACC, I encourage the Commissioners to do its utmost best in proving their claims,” Brima said, adding, “As a President who believes in fostering the development of football, I am sure that there is nothing to hide in the cupboard.”
The SLFA President emphasized that his four-year tenure has been dedicated to improving the football landscape in Sierra Leone, with a strong focus on transparency, inclusion, and development.
“My four years have been about making the game a beautiful one for all. Let justice be done. Football must develop in Sierra Leone,” he added.
The SLFA President was arrested on Thursday along with two other officials over alleged corruption and were detained at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) office in Freetown, where they spent the night
