SPEAKER THOMAS EMBRACES E-PARLIAMENT TRANSFORMATION

The Speaker of Parliament Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas on Monday 19/05/2025 held engagement with a World Bank consulting Team on the Sierra Leone Digital Transformation on Project and AH Consulting Team to brief the House on E-Parliament project.

While heartily welcoming the consulting team to Sierra Leone, Speaker said he is in a hurry to ensure that the project is successful. He assured the consultants that the Director of ICT would work together with the team to ensure effective delivery.
The speaker raised concern over duration of the project, saying six months is too much for the completion of the project. He noted that he wanted to have the project as one of his key successes and achievements. “We all rely on this that you are coming to give us now, and I want this project to be one of my legacies as Speaker of Parliament.” He further went on to say that they had been holding preliminary meetings regarding the project . He reiterated that he wanted the project to be completed speedily.

In a PowerPoint presentation, the consultant Director of AH Consulting, Herbert Rwamibazi, spoke about the expectations and the need for the E-Parliament project. He assured the House of effective service delivering, highlighting key policies, procedures, and stakeholder engagement regarding the project.
