…At UN High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) On SDGs

In a significant ongoing discussion at the United Nations High Level Political Forum 2025, Dr Kamara as on the 14th July, 2025 represents Sierra Leone to discuss significant issues on Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), centres on generating sustainable development solutions that are fundamentally grounded in scientific and evidence-based frameworks.
With the theme: “Advancing Sustainable, Inclusive, Science- and Evidence-Based Solutions for the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals, Leaving No One Behind.”
Dr. Bernadette Sanko Kamara has emerged as a key player in these discussions, graciously contributing to initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while enhancing Sierra Leone’s strategic positioning in a forum that gathers representatives from thirty-seven (37) nations.

The HLPF 2025 prioritizes the implementation of empirical data-driven methodologies to tackle the SDGs, directly addressing pressing issues such as climate change, social inequality, and economic volatility. The forum will specifically review progress on critical SDGs, including Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 14 (Life Below Water), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
