The National Secretary General of the opposition All People’s Congress APC, Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya Esq, has in an exclusive interview with WIYARD social media platform stated that, Dr Samura Kamara is targeting the 2028 presidential election and not 2023.
According Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya, “my instinct is telling me that, Dr Samura Kamara is targeting the 2028 presidential election and not 2023”.
When asked about the fight for electoral justice, Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya Esq said, “not that I don’t want to talk about that, but you know some times, I pity our APC people who they are fooling.Sadly, they don’t know, and those that are fooling them are not truly APC members.”
“You know that I used to tell Maada Bio that he stole our election, and I will continue to say that, but that is not the point right now, for some reason, we went into a peace process, and amidst the anger some of us had, our leader then, said we should sign an agreement and accept…Let’s conclude, which we did out of respect for him. And that respect we gave him now seems to be turning against us as if we were the ones who sold out.””That is why I said in this world, lie is lie… even if you repeat it one million times, a lie, is a lie, and it is on that stage we are approaching now. I thought that it will reach a time, he will decide to put the records straight and to tell the people that this is it, but it seems he doesn’t want to do that, and when you say that people feel as if you are against him, I’m not against him, if he had said the truth from day one, I think everything would have been fine, even if people don’t like that, even if we don’t like that, at least, we should have moved ahead,” those were excerpts of Dumbya’s statement.
He furthered that if people are going around saying that Samura Kamara will be installed as president, then he,Samura, should tell the people whether it is true or not, “but he just sits down without saying anything.”
“Let me say this… I may be wrong, and if I’m wrong I will say sorry, but I have a strong feeling that he want to run for the 2028 race but he is using the 2023 as a basis to hold on to certain people and to hold on to certain bases. That is my honest assessment,” Dumbuya concluded.
